On April 19th, in O\u017car\u00f3w Mazowiecki, during a visit to WB Electronics (the WB GROUP\u2019s leading company) of the Minister of National Defense, W\u0142adys\u0142aw Kosiniak-Kamysz, a contract for the FlyEye unmanned aerial systems was signed. This is the most advanced UAV in its class, proven in combat conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The subject of the executive agreement concluded between the Armament Agency of the Ministry of National Defense and WB Electronics is the delivery of FlyEye 3.6 unmanned aerial systems with technical documentation and repair, logistic and training packages, to the Polish Armed Forces.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

WB GROUP was represented by President Piotr Wojciechowski and the Armament Agency by Brigade General Artur Kupiel. The signing took place in the presence of the Minister of National Defense W\u0142adys\u0142aw Kosiniak-Kamysz and Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defense Pawe\u0142 Bejda.<\/p>\n

\u2013 This is an important moment and great joy for the Polish Army, for the Ministry of National Defense, and for Poland’s security, above all. We are at WB Electronics, which is the largest drone manufacturer in Europe. We are proud that today an agreement was signed with a Polish manufacturer, a company that invests in development, and cutting-edge technology. It relies on Polish scientists, it relies on Polish engineers – said Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz at WB Electronics.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Reconnaissance is the basis of good planning. Flyeye is here to do just that. Further contracts will be signed later this year. In the coming years, all these sets will be delivered to the Polish Army – added Kosiniak-Kamysz.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Deliveries of the unmanned aerial vehicles will be completed by the end of the year. FlyEye 3.6 has modified navigation system, enhanced security and has been integrated with the TOPAZ system.<\/p>\n

\u2013 I would like to thank all those who contributed to the signing of this agreement. This is hard work on the part of the Polish industry, this is hard work on the part of the WB GROUP. There are hundreds and thousands of people who work here, this is Polish engineering solutions. WB Electronics is a serious defence plant that supports the Polish Army. This cooperation is our common success, but above all the success of the Polish taxpayer so that the money stays in Poland and creates new jobs for the Polish citizens. Unmanned aerial systems are the future, so we will develop our capabilities in this area, said Pawe\u0142 Bejda, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defense.<\/p>\n

The executive agreement concluded on April 19th is the first contract under the framework agreement signed on September 5th, 2023 during the XXXI International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce. The latter includes deliveries of over 1,600 FlyEye unmanned aerial systems.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The experience during the war in Ukraine has shown several aspects. They showed that our concepts, developed by our Polish engineers, work perfectly there. The second experience, extremely important, is that we have to mass produce. Deliver in large quantities on time. The third experience is that we must have our own technologies. Only our own solutions will allow us to keep up with the changing battlefield and modify them in real time to meet the enemy’s countermeasures. We have to create it in the country. We provide work to tens of thousands of people in Poland. Only orders from the Polish government and the Polish Armed Forces are the basis of our operation. We know, we all contribute to this as taxpayers, but this is the best money spent, because we produce and sell locally, we pay taxes here, but the knowledge and experience remain in the country – said Piotr Wojciechowski, President of the WB GROUP.<\/p>\n

The FlyEye mini class UAVs are designed to conduct aerial image reconnaissance using optoelectronic payload equipped with daylight and thermal imaging cameras. The system has been successfully tested in the Polish Army, where it carries out tasks for both Operational Forces and Territorial Defense Forces (Wojska Obrony Terytorialnej), as well as during military operations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
