WB GROUP has completed the next stage of modernization of the anti-aircraft equipment of a NATO country. The ARM-28 standard increased combat capabilities of the older systems. Thanks to the modernization developed by the AREX company (part of the WB GROUP), the equipment can more effectively engage unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters and other air targets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The high-intensity conflict in Europe has made NATO countries raise awareness of the dangers associated with threats by small air systems. This category includes cruise missiles, flying bombs and one-way drones. Effective countering can still be carried out by the anti-aircraft artillery.<\/p>\n

\"Zak\u0142ad<\/a><\/p>\n

The threat has sparked great interest in improving equipment currently in use. Combat systems are usually operated for several decades and can be modified or modernized during this time. Improving the characteristics enables further use of older designs and raises their effectiveness on the modern battlefield.<\/p>\n

AREX is the competence center of the WB GROUP in the field of electromechanical equipment used in various combat systems. The offer of the company includes the modernization of 23 mm anti-aircraft artillery ZU-23-2s to the ARM-28 standard.<\/p>\n

The modernization package is distinguished by its modular structure, which allows you to easily and quickly integrate new functional blocks with the original set. The ARM-28 modularity allows for quick field repairs. ZU-23-2 brought to this standard acquire new functional features.<\/p>\n

The ARM-28 digitally controlled electric drives allowed for precise guidance and high weapon transfer speeds. The operator panel allows to program prohibited zones. Target guidance can be manual, semi-automatic or automatic from an external fire control system.<\/p>\n

A part of the ARM-28 modernization package is a modern optoelectronic sight that allows the anti-aircraft system to fire OFZT and BZT projectiles, as well as modern APDS-T sub-caliber ammunition. The modernization also allowed us to reduce the number of staff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
