Tests were performed at the Toru\u0144 training ground to verify the operation of the BSP-U unmanned search and strike systems. The effectors that are part of the GLADIUS system, which will be delivered to the Missile and Artillery Forces in December this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

GLADIUS is a reconnaissance and strike system equipped with advanced sensors and effectors, national communication and a fire control system, as well as complex data analysis supported by artificial intelligence. It will significantly expand the capabilities of the Poland\u2019s Rocket Forces and Artillery (Wojska Rakietowe i Artyleria) to detect targets and engage at long distances.<\/p>\n

The ordered GLADIUS system is being tested to verify the operation of system components as well as the entire system before December delivery. An element of the tests is to check the operation and warhead of BSP-U (Bezza\u0142ogowy System Powietrzny \u2013 Uderzeniowy) unmanned search and strike systems.<\/p>\n

At the same time, as part of the briefing by the Chief of Missile and Artillery Forces, the GLADIUS system was presented to the future user. The artillerymen had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the system elements both during the presentation, and in operation using command vehicles and launchers.<\/p>\n

The battery module of the GLADIUS system is intended for the Rocket Forces and Artillery of the Land Forces. It is used for aerial reconnaissance and strike missions performed by specialized unmanned aerial platforms.<\/p>\n

GLADIUS is a completely Polish design with all components connected by the integrated TOPAZ combat management system. C2 solutions, includes FONET digital vehicle communication platform, computer terminals, active elements of LAN and WAN networks, tactical radios, and integration are implemented by WB GROUP.<\/p>\n

The GLADIUS system includes two basic variants of unmanned aerial vehicles. The FT-5 family systems, are intended for reconnaissance missions and are equipped with various sensors enabling the detection and tracking of objects in the visible and radio-electronic emissions.<\/p>\n

BSP-Us are used for strike missions performed using various types of warheads, including High-Explosive and HEAT. The BSP-UT is a training variant, a reusable unmanned platform. It performs an identical set of missions to the BSP-U, but without the ability to destroy targets.<\/p>\n

The GLADIUS system also includes a range of vehicles, including command vehicles, and launchers (equipped with a universal launcher for all GLADIUS unmanned platforms) built on Waran 4×4 chassis provided by HSW S.A.
