SmartEye automatic road traffic surveillance systems developed in Poland have been delivered to Portugal. These are the latest solutions from PolCam Systems selected by the country\u2019s authorities, further strengthening the presence of Polish technologies abroad. The implementation demonstrates the effective international expansion of systems developed by the WB GROUP\u2019s dedicated road safety competence centre. The devices supplied are fully integrated with Portugal\u2019s national automated enforcement infrastructure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Portuguese authorities have already received dozens of SmartEye ST-1 systems, which have been deployed as fixed roadside enforcement points. Operating in fully automated mode, each system is capable of monitoring up to 32 vehicles simultaneously across multiple lanes.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the integration of 3D radar with a high-resolution camera, the Polish-developed systems are able to detect a wide range of violations, including speeding, red-light running, lack of mandatory insurance, expired technical inspections, and unauthorised use of bus lanes.<\/p>\n

The stationary SmartEye ST-1 units are fully compatible with external IP cameras and centralised databases \u2014 such as blacklists and records of insurance and inspection status \u2014 enabling seamless integration with existing national enforcement systems.<\/p>\n

The systems generate high-quality Full HD evidence and automatically identify the vehicle\u2019s make, model, colour, and country of origin \u2014 including vehicles registered outside the European Union. The system enclosure complies with IP66\/IP67 standards, ensuring high durability and reliability in changing environmental conditions.<\/p>\n

The systems delivered by WB GROUP have been adapted to meet Portugal\u2019s local legal and regulatory requirements. Deployment and commissioning were carried out in close cooperation with the end user, in accordance with applicable technical and organisational standards. The SmartEye units are equipped with anti-tampering sensors, enclosure-opening detectors, and internal temperature monitoring.<\/p>\n
