WB GROUP has supplied primary structural components for the CHIME satellite, developed by Thales Alenia Space under contract with the European Space Agency. WB Centrum Kompozyt\u00f3w, based in Czechowice-Dziedzice, is the only Polish company capable of producing structural panels for orbital platforms. This achievement reaffirms WB GROUP\u2019s capabilities in international cooperation and its growing presence in the space sector.<\/p>\n

WB Centrum Kompozyt\u00f3w has completed the first delivery of structural panels for the CHIME satellite being built by Thales Alenia Space for the European Space Agency. This is yet another delivery of primary structures for orbital platforms manufactured in Czechowice-Dziedzice, demonstrating WB GROUP\u2019s ability to operate and collaborate effectively in the space industry.<\/p>\n

The structures produced by WB Centrum Kompozyt\u00f3w will be used in the CHIME (Copernicus Hyperspectral Imaging Mission for the Environment) observation satellite. The platform will collect data to support agricultural and biodiversity management services, as well as provide detailed information on soil properties.<\/p>\n

– CHIME is another satellite that will be built using structural panels manufactured by WB Centrum Kompozyt\u00f3w for Thales Alenia Space. Previously, we supplied structures for the Spacebus Neo family of geostationary satellites developed by the company, which are used by global telecommunications operators, said Bart\u0142omiej P\u0142onka, President of WB Centrum Kompozyt\u00f3w.<\/p>\n

The Silesian company, part of WB GROUP, is the only Polish entity with the expertise to perform advanced work on structural panels for orbital platforms. WB GROUP\u2019s capabilities in this field are confirmed by numerous successful launches of its components into space.<\/p>\n

– Under our agreement with Thales Alenia Space, we will produce structural panels for two satellites under the CHIME mission. The new platform will be placed in geostationary orbit. WB Centrum Kompozyt\u00f3w is responsible for manufacturing the primary structures equipped with the required components, including elements for thermal control in the space environment, added the president of the Czechowice-Dziedzice facility.<\/p>\n

WB Centrum Kompozyt\u00f3w has acquired unique competencies on the Polish market thanks to an extensive technology-transfer program carried out with Thales Alenia Space over the past several years.
