This year’s International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce brought the WB GROUP four prestigious awards. The awards included recognition for the Future Task Force combat platoon, an award from the Armed Forces Operational Command (DORSZ), recognition for the best arms exporter, and an award for the most impressive exhibition stand.
Defender 2025 for Future Task Force
The Future Task Force platoon, making its debut in Kielce, was awarded the Defender 2025. The award was received by Marcin Kubica, managing director of the WB GROUP. FTF is an example of a modern combat platoon designed for operations in a multi-domain environment.
The Future Task Force platoon consists of an armored command vehicle and, in the variant shown at MSPO, three manned and unmanned wheeled platforms capable of operating in both manned and unmanned modes. They resemble small 4×4 off-road vehicles, with cargo space adapted for modular construction.
Each FTF carrier can have a variety of palletized equipment. The MSPO showcased FTF remote control weapon stations ZMU-05 modules, FTF MN with light mine dispenser with MN-123 mines or equivalent, and FTF WM with WARMATE TL family of unmanned systems launchers: TL-R reconnaissance and TL-C combat (loitering munitions).
Distinction from the Armed Forces Operational Command
The operational capabilities of FTF were also recognized by the Armed Forces Operational Command (Dowództwo Operacyjne Rodzajów Sił Zbrojnych, DORSZ), which awarded WB GROUP a distinction in the category of “Command, support, and protection of troops”. The award was received by Adam Bartosiewicz, Vice President of WB GROUP.
Future Task Force stands out not only for its flexible configuration, but also for its ability to operate in various combat scenarios: from patrol and reconnaissance to direct fire support in complex tactical environments. The modular nature of the system allows it to be adapted to the operational profile of units and their tactical environment.
The FTF system enables reconnaissance and targeting within a radius of 50 km, firing large-caliber weapons, and carrying out evacuation, patrol, logistical, and other tasks. It is an extremely useful, multi-role system for the Polish Armed Forces, complementing manned combat vehicles and increasing their reconnaissance and strike capabilities.
Best Arms Exporter
WB GROUP was also awarded the prize for being the best arms exporter, confirming its established position in international markets. The award was received by Piotr Wojciechowski, president of WB GROUP.
Systems developed by Polish engineers are currently being delivered to dozens of countries in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Some of them, such as C4ISR solutions, unmanned systems, and WARMATE loitering munitions, are also manufactured under license at foreign plants.
WB GROUP is one of the few Polish companies in the defense sector whose technologies have been implemented in production in the United States and the MENA among others. The award is proof that WB GROUP remains not only a key supplier to the Polish Armed Forces, but also a partner to allies within and outside NATO.
The Most Spectacular Exhibition Stand
The WB GROUP pavilion at the 33rd International Defense Industry Exhibition was recognized as the most impressive exhibition at this year’s fair. Its design was based on the idea of a multi-domain unmanned revolution, showcasing the full spectrum of solutions – from the StormRider and Sk@rp maritime systems, through the Future Task Force manned-unmanned land platoon and the G@rdo walking robot, to new products in the air domain.
The central element of the pavilion was a platform made of LED panels, on which films showcasing unmanned aerial vehicles in operation, suspended above the heads of visitors. The whole created a spectacular show – a play of lights, colors, and visualizations – which transformed the exhibition into a story about the future of the multi-domain battlefield.
The multimedia form of the presentation and the immersive arrangement attracted the attention of guests and were appreciated by the jury. The award, granted by the event organizer, Targi Kielce S.A., was received by Marta Łażewska, marketing director of WB GROUP.
