WB GROUP is a leader in developing advanced solutions for both the defence and railway sectors. During the 16th International Railway Fair TRAKO, the group’s companies presented innovative systems, including the PVT-01 converter station and the debuting SEMSRail, which were awarded prestigious industry awards.
At TRAKO in Gdańsk, WB GROUP companies AREX and MindMade presented their dedicated solutions for the railway sector. The International Railway Expo took place from September 23 to 26 at the AMBEREXPO center in Gdańsk.
The debut of SEMSRail, an intelligent solution for energy management in railway traffic control devices, generated strong interest among industry experts and operators. The system ensures a stable and reliable power supply, even in conditions of increased risk and infrastructure load.
Another innovation was the PVT-01 DC/DC 500 kW converter station, enabling efficient integration of renewable energy into traction power systems and supporting the development of sustainable public transport.
WB GROUP stand also presented MindMade’s solutions for the railway industry: the AMSTA perimeter protection system featuring an advanced machine learning algorithm, and the PIK-MC dispatching and crisis management platform.
Industry awards
WB GROUP solutions gained strong recognition from both visitors and industry experts. During the TRAKO 2025 gala, innovations developed by AREX designers were honored.
The SEMSRail system received the Prof. Czesław Jaworski Award in the “Infrastructure” category. The award was granted by the Association of Engineers and Technicians of Transport in Poland.
In turn, the PVT-01 converter station was honored with the Prof. Jan Podolski Award of the Chamber of Urban Transport.
These successes were made possible thanks to the cooperation between AREX’s Railway Energy Division and e-Conversion Department. The combination of the expertise of engineers from different fields has made it possible to create solutions that integrate the experience of two industries, which translates into unique products.
