At the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce (MSPO), WB GROUP signed a license agreement with the Military Institute of Engineering Technology (WITI). The parties will cooperate in the development of a lightweight mine dispenser.
During the MSPO, Piotr Wojciechowski, president of the WB GROUP, and Marcin Szczepaniak, director of the Military Institute of Engineering Technology, signed a license and cooperation agreement concerning the light mine dispenser. The prototype debuted in Kielce as a modular modular payload for Future Task Force (FTF) carrier vehicles.
“We are signing an agreement that is highly significant for WB GROUP, as we are entering a new area of securing troops during defense and minefield laying. We are doing this with the most important partner in Poland, which has the most experience, namely the Military Institute of Engineering Technology”, said the president of WB GROUP after signing the agreement.
“We hope that this agreement will provide significantly greater capabilities for the military, both in the Future Task Force, which is a tactical system, and for the Engineering Corps, which will be able to use a light mine dispenser in the most demanding operational conditions”, added Piotr Wojciechowski.
“Thank you for placing your trust in us. This project is a continuation and extension of our cooperation, as we are already implementing a similar project with one of the WB GROUP companies, while this agreement concerns a new product – the deployment of a light mine dispenser”, said Marcin Szczepaniak, director of the Military Institute of Engineering Technology.
“We have extensive experience in this field and are pleased that combining our knowledge with the capital, technical and production solutions of the WB GROUP will create synergy and enable us to equip the Polish Armed Forces with new equipment”, added the director of WITI.
“The military, having seen the model displayed at MSPO, has expressed strong approval about it. This bodes well for the project and provides an opportunity for further cooperation, covering not only the dispenser but also the mines,” said Marcin Szczepaniak after signing the agreement.
