Unmanned Surface Reconnaissance and Strike Platform

StormRider is an unmanned surface reconnaissance and strike platform designed for operations in maritime and coastal environments. The platform can operate independently or in conjunction with naval forces, enhancing reconnaissance, patrol, and protection capabilities in strategic waters.

StormRider can be deployed for the protection of harbors, ports, anchorages, and critical maritime infrastructure. The system is also used in counter-diversion activities and to support Force Protection operations. The platform can also be used to counter threats from unmanned aerial vehicles and hostile infiltration groups.

The unmanned surface reconnaissance and strike unit is equipped with a set of precision sensors, including navigation radar, sonar, and echo sounder. They allow for continuous monitoring of the environment, regardless of weather conditions. These are complemented by optoelectronic systems: an observation head with a day and thermal imaging camera and a laser rangefinder.

StormRider’s operational capabilities are reinforced by the ZMU-05N – naval version of the remote-controlled weapon station armed with a large-caliber machine gun –, and WARMATE TL loitering munitions launchers. This configuration enables long-range target tracking and engagement without the need to involve manned surface assets.

Thanks to its automated architecture, the platform can operate remotely or in semi-autonomous mode, minimizing operator exposure. The use of the StormRider system ensures continuity of operations in high-risk areas.
