FTR-1 Radio Relay
The FTR-1 radio relay utilizes a common high data rate channel for simultaneous transmission from sensors mounted on unmanned aerial platforms and the transfer of control data. Thanks to the applied frequency hopping technology and programmable frequency switching, it is significantly more difficult for unauthorized persons to jam the transmissions between the unmanned platform and the transmitter.
The ground segment is equipped with directional antennas that are automatically positioned based on location data transmitted from the aircraft. In the event of a communication loss, the system enters an automatic aircraft search mode.
The security of transmitted data is guaranteed by built-in encryption.
The radio relay operates in the C-band, compliant with NATO standards.
The FTR-1 radio relay is available in three configuration variants:
- Standard variant – The antenna assembly is mounted on a tripod; this variant is designed for overland operations. It is perfectly suited for operations in unprepared terrain.
- Maritime variant – Guarantees uninterrupted communication during long-distance flights over the sea. Mounted on a tripod.
- Mobile variant – Enables control of the unmanned aerial platform from a moving vehicle, e.g., during convoy or area patrol operations. This variant is adapted for mounting on vehicle roofs (e.g., on roof rails).
- Range up to 40 km.
