FTR-3 Radio Relay
The FTR-3 radio relay provides continuous communication and data transmission between the unmanned aerial platform and the ground operator station.
Antenna positioning occurs automatically upon receiving telemetry data from the unmanned aerial platform. In the event of a communication loss, the system enters an automatic aircraft search mode.
The design of the radio relay allows for integration with a power amplifier system. This enables extending the range up to 180 km.
SDR technology enables the integration of a frequency hopping mechanism. The security of transmitted data is guaranteed by a built-in encryption module. The radio relay operates in the C-band, compliant with NATO standards.
Ground terminals can operate in 2 modes:

Active mode ? The terminal communicates with the aerial platform. Transmission is bidirectional.

Passive mode ? The terminal receives data from the aerial platform. Transmission is unidirectional. This enables data reception from the platform at a location other than the base station.
The implemented system features allow taking over control of the platform from a forward station after switching the base station to passive mode.
